Watch: Kim Zolciak-Biermann Returns to "DWTS" After Stroke

Kim Zolciak-Biermann made her triumphant return to the Dancing With the Stars dance floor, despite a bundle of nerves.

"I really got choked up being there and being down—docking down [near the genie bottle]—and realizing I'm back. I really love the show. I didn't think I was going to love it like I did. To have a stroke and heart surgery three weeks ago and be back here—it's like nothing else matters," Kim told E! News' Sibley Scoles. "I don't care if I just twirled around on the stage—I didn't care! I remember just eight weeks ago the pressure I put on myself just to be perfect."

Viewers will recall the Don't Be Tardy reality star was force to withdraw from the competition after suffering a stroke and not being able to return to DWTS in time to compete. She later had heart surgery, all at the age of 37. "You never think you're going to go through something like this," she told us.

Now Kim is celebrating the second birthday of her twins and taking it easy. "I'm actually going to take some time off until January when I start filming—oh this is big—season five of Don't Be Tardy…So I'm going to take some time off, let my husband get through the football season…I'm just going hang out," she told us.

As for the big winner, Bindi Irwin, Kim said she always knew the wildlife conservationist would take the top trophy. "Her energy is so magnetic and intense, so I almost knew from the beginning. You just can't help falling in love—I wish I had that energy," she said.
