New year. New channel. Same Degrassi.

Degrassi: Next Class finally has a trailer...and a premiere date...and a first look at the new characters entering TV's most drama-filled high school. Hey, when it rains it pours amazing news.

The 15th season of the longrunning Canadian teen drama is set to premiere 20 all-new episodes on Netflix on Jan. 15 (after being dropped by TeenNick) and the streaming site has released the first trailer for its highly anticipated return. Prepare yourselves now for your next love, crush, fight, heartache, fail and win. (We won't lie, the line "You're definitely not normal...because there is no normal," gave us chills!)

Still, this is Degrassi, so with the heartwarming moments and relatable plights come some hilarious ones too: One of the biggest storylines teased in the trailer? A girl padding her jeans to make her butt look bigger in order to get her crush's attention. To paraphrase Han Solo, "Degrassi fans, we're home."

Next Class will introduce fans to five new characters: Yael Baron (Jamie Bloch), Esme Song (Chelsea Clark), Vijay Maraj (Dante Scott), Goldi Nahir (Soma Bhatia), and Baaz Nahir (Amir Bageria). While the final two are siblings, it looks like Esme will be getting close with poor little rich boy Miles, with Vijay has another one of our favorite lines from the trailer: "I love high school!"

Returning from the cast for Next Class are Amanda Arcuri, Reiya Downs, Ana GoljaNikki Gould, Ricardo Hoyos, Ehren Kassam, Andre Kim, Lyle Lettau, Spencer Macpherson, Eric Osborne, Olivia Scriven, Sara Waisglass and Richard Walters.

"Following an unprecedented and incredibly supportive 14-year relationship with Bell Media on Degrassi: The Next Generation, we are looking forward to reaching a fresh new audience with Degrassi: Next Class. We are energized and excited to work with Family Channel as we tell stories for the new post-millennial teen cohort known as Generation Z, most of whom weren't even born when Degrassi returned in 2001,  Linda Schuyler, Degrassi co-creator and executive producer, said in a statement after Netflix announced it was picking up the  series.

Degrassi: Next Class will premiere Jan. 15 on Netflix, with all 20 episodes available to stream immediately.
