As we know, few can come close to Adele's perfection.

In a prank filmed for the Adele at the BBC special, which aired on Friday, the day her new album 25 dropped, Adele wears a disguise and pretends to impersonate herself in front of several other people also impersonating her at an audition.

As "Jenny," Adele is almost unrecognizable, sporting a prosthetic nose and chin and makeup made to make her eyes and lips appear different. She also speaks with a deeper voice.

"Can't wait for the new album," one of the impersonators tells her and the others while waiting their turn to perform an Adele song on a stage.

"She's taking her time," the real Adele replies, a tongue-in-cheek reference to the common complaint among fans waiting for 25, her first new album in three years.

"Try saying that to her face," another, red-headed impersonator says.

The real Adele pretends to become nervous and ill before taking the stage as "Jenny" and, you know, proceeding to do that thing she does really well—slaying.

The impersonators watch her sing and slowly realize who's on stage...and the reactions are just the best.

Singer Jewel had in 2010 pulled a similar prank for a Funny or Die video, which showed her wearing a prosthetic nose and pretending to be someone else while singing her own songs at a karaoke bar.
