Anna Duggar and the rest of the 19 Kids and Counting family members have largely stayed out of the public eye following revelations her husband Josh Duggar molested several underage girls when he was younger and also cheated on her during their marriage.

Now Anna, who had addressed the former sex scandal in a statement earlier this year, is finally speaking out about Josh and their family's turmoil on-camera, in a TV interview.

"It was heartbreaking to hear what had happened," Anna says, her eyes red, in a promo for TLC's new spinoff, Jill & Jessa: Counting On, posted on Friday.

These also mark her first comments about her family's turmoil since Josh's cheating scandal broke in August.

The question posed to her is not heard in the promo. Anna is later seen looking down and getting emotional.

Anna had said in a Duggar family statement in May, when she was pregnant with her and Josh's fourth child, that he had confessed his "past teenage mistakes" to her before they were married.

"When you, our sweet fans, first met me when Josh asked me to marry him...I was able to say, 'Yes,' knowing who Josh really is—someone who had gone down a wrong path and had humbled himself before God and those whom he had offended. Someone who had received the help needed to change the direction of his life and do what is right," she said in the statement, which also contained comments from Josh and his parents.

Anna later continued to show her support for Josh, even posted a family pic showing them with their kids on Father's Day.

Happy Father's Day @joshduggar We love you so much!

Josh had said in a the Duggar family statement that "12 years ago, as a young teenager," he "acted inexcusably" and was "extremely sorry." His sisters Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar revealed in a Fox News interview that month that they were two of his molestation victims and talked about forgiveness.

TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting in July. Also that month, Anna welcomed her and Josh's daughter Meredith, and a week later, the Duggar family posted a photo of the three at a restaurant.

A month later, Josh admitted to cheating on his wife and to having a pornography addiction, following a hack of the Ashley Madison infidelity-themed dating site. He later checked himself into a faith-based rehab

"I cried a lot of tears," Jill says in the promo for Jill & Jessa: Counting On. "My first thoughts were for Anna."

"Somebody who you love...how could this happen?" Jessa asks.

Jill & Jessa: Counting On, a three-part special, premieres on TLC on Dec. 13 and will largely focus on Jill and Jessa's marriages and new families. Jill and Derick Dillard are parents to 7-month old baby son Israel, while Jessa gave birth to her and husband Ben Seewald's son Spurgeon, who is nicknamed Quincy, two weeks ago.

"Also for the first time, we'll hear from several family members, including Anna Duggar in emotional and candid interviews about the trying summer the family faced and how they are continuing to move forward from a time of turmoil to a time of celebration," TLC's website states.

"We're getting through," Jessa says in the promo.

"We're coming out of this fire," Jill adds.
