The hair pulling and table flipping Teresa Giudice was a part of on The Real Housewives of New Jersey was nothing compared to the drama she experienced in federal prison.

It's safe to say the reality star has had a rough few years. From extravagant shopping and family style cooking to life behind bars, this fiery star's life took a dramatic turn when she and husband Joe Giudice pleaded guilty to fraud charges in March 2014. Teresa began her 15-month prison sentence in January.

"People think they know everything about me…but they don't. Not even close," confesses the 43-year-old mother of four in a release about her soon-to-come memoir, Turning The Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again.

While the Bravo star has written three New York Times bestselling cookbooks, this memoir is the first time she tells all with diary entries from her time spent in the same federal prison in Danbury, Conn., where Piper Kerman, the author of Orange Is The New Black, served her sentence. 

Teresa dishes in her book with a new perspective on her life as we knew it. She speaks about growing up as an Italian-American, dealing with chaos and infamous cat fights on national TV, and eventually coming to terms with the fact that she had to leave her husband and four daughters Milania, Gabriella, Audriana and Gia behind as she spends her life behind bars for over a year.

While fans knows Teresa as the sassy mom famous for her opulent spending and short-temper, this novel turns a new page for the TV star.

"The world will see a new Teresa. A different Teresa. Well, actually, the Teresa I always was," the mom-of-four said in the release.
