This is a remarkable day for humankind. According to Los Angeles Magazine, the world's very first Taco Bell will be saved from demolition. That's right, there were some very kooky-minded folk who almost tore down this glorious sanctuary. The original taco joint is located in Downey, California and was built by founder Glen Bell in 1962. Why you would ever want to knock down such an iconic piece of history is beyond us. Apparently, Taco Bell execs felt the same and decided to uproot the entire building and haul it away.

For real. You can catch the store on the move from Downey to company headquarters in Irvine, and we don't mean by chance. T-Bell fanatics can actually hang out at specific restaurants along the way and catch the little store go by. What a time to be alive. Can't make it to Cali in time? Quartz says you can watch the whole event go down from your computer. Time to load up on those Doritos Locos, you've got big plans today.

On a scale from quesadilla to Chalupa Extreme, how stoked are you that Taco Bell has been saved? Tell us in the comments!
