Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow continue to prove that they remain amicable even after their divorce.

Case in point: Martin's ex-wife even appears on his upcoming Coldplay album, A Head Full of Dreams, along with his new girlfriend, Annabelle Wallis.

When asked about why he chose to have both past and current loves become part of the album, the band's frontman tells The Wall Street Journal, "Everyone who got asked to sing on our album has an important part in our lives. This is The Wall Street Journal, so I don't want to get too hippie, but what I'm trying to learn in my life is the value of every human."

Martin says, though sometimes he wishes his personal life wasn't so closely followed by the media, he likes that his audience can connect to what his songs are about.

"There's a part of me that wishes no one knew anything about me, but it's just not realistic," he explains. "What's even weirder is that some of the things people think they know about you aren't true in the first place. They come from a misquote or hearsay or rumor. But I'm guilty of it, too. If I hear a new Rihanna song that I like, I want to know what Rihanna's up to."
