Dwayne Johnson seems like one of the toughest men in the business, but there was a time in his life when he didn't think he had much to offer.

The San Andreas star opened up on Oprah's Master Class about his battle with depression and how it ultimately led to a career-defining decision. But the 43-year-old wrestler-turned-actor revealed that his depression became crippling.

"I wish I had someone at that time who could just pull me aside and say, 'Hey it's gonna be ok,'" The Rock said. But for those who suffer from depression, Johnson advised that they should keep pushing through because eventually it will turn around for the better.

"You just gotta remember: Hold on to that fundamental quality of faith," he said in the clip. "Have faith that on the other side of your pain is something good."

For Johnson it was the moment his former coach from a team that cut him called him and asked him to come back. But instead of returning, he decided he would pursue something else: wrestling. His dad, however, wasn't exactly for the idea, but supported his son at the end of the day.

"My dad rose to the occasion," Johnson revealed. And now we all know how that story ends—with a champion!

After Johnson's admission went viral, the Furious 7 actor turned to Twitter Thursday to thank his fans for all the support he since has received since making his difficult admission. "Thx fam. Hardest thing sometimes (especially men) is asking for help," he shared. "I wish I did. You're never alone. Speak up."

The former WWE star's appearance on Oprah's Master Class was certainly emotional, as he also opened up about his close bond with his 14-year-old daughter, Simone Johnson.

"I always wanted to be a great dad. I always wanted to give Simone things that I felt I never got. When I held her when she was born, I held her in these two hands and I said to her, 'I will always, always take care of you, for the rest of your life. You are safe.' Literally held her in these two hands. Throughout the years, throughout the ups and downs, I've realized that the most important thing that I could do with my daughter is lead our life with love," he explained. "Not success, not fame, not anything else but, 'I'm always here for you. I love you.'"

With another baby on the way, Johnson truly has found his happiness.
