The cast of The Leftovers may not be allowed to spill on upcoming episodes, but ya gotta hear what Amy Brenneman said to me just last night.
"When I read episode nine, I was like, 'Holy s--t!'" she said at artist Steven Janssen's one-night solo show at the De Re Gallery in West Hollywood. "I'm a cast member and I had that response so I could only imagine the pleasure you'll have.
"Episode nine was so satisfying in the ways things have been…nurtured from episode one," she continued. "So, it's not random. It's like, 'Oh, my god! That is perfect!'"
We also got an update on how her co-star Justin Theroux has been doing since marrying Jennifer Aniston in August.
"He's happy," Brenneman gushed. "I worked with him the week after he got married and he was a happy groom. He was relaxed. It's how you're supposed to be."
Like all of us, Brenneman has holidays on the brain. She and the family will spend Thanksgiving in L.A. and head to the east coast for Christmas.
"Both of my kids, they're blowing my mind," Brenneman said. "They've asked for two things each. I'm like, really? That's all you want? It's so beautiful."
The guest list at last night's event also included Scott Eastwood, Helen Hunt, Frank Grillo, Mary McCormack and Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor.
