Sorry, Chris Hemsworth: You had your year, and now it's David Beckham's turn to be People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive!

The Huntsman: Winter's War hunk is obviously just as good looking now as he was circa 2014, but that didn't stop co-star Jessica Chastain from having a little good-natured fun at his expense. She tweeted Hemsworth a link to Beckham's cover, adding comically, "Oh man...you must be devastated. I know how much this title meant to you."

The 32-year-old Australian actor took the jibe in jest, of course. "Thank u @jes_chastain for your kind words & timely reminder that I'm now over the hill," he responded.

The the former Sexiest Man Alive also posted the following statement:

"Although I knew for the last 12 months this day would come, it still hurts. As I fade into my weathered wrinkled exterior, I hope by time will be remembered then forgotten then forgotten some more *(insert crying music).

P.S. It's what's on the inside that counts.

P.P.S. David Beckham is so dreamy and has cool tats"

Chastain, 38, couldn't help but call her Huntsman co-star out on one major thing. "Isn't Beckham older than you?" she tweeted.

Indeed, the soccer star is 40—but then again, age is just a number, right? Chastain quickly reassured her co-star he wasn't completely old and washed up just yet. "Don't sweat it Chris," she tweeted. "You have an A+ personality and that's all that matters! ; )"

Yeah, pretty sure Hemsworth's going to be OK even without the official Sexiest Man Alive title.
