Directioners, good news!

One Direction is returning for its second year to headline Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest, which means we'll have another night with our favorite foursome before they go on hiatus. The guys will be performing three songs from Hollywood throughout the show, and Carrie Underwood will also be singing for the telecast from Times Square in New York City.

Even though 1D will be singing only three songs, we came up with a bunch of songs we hope they perform (or at least choose from to perform). From One Direction originals to covers of holiday/New Year's songs, here is what E! News hopes the boy band will sing considering it never gave us a holiday album we all wanted and deserved.

1) "History" - As an homage to the band's fans, 1D just has to sing this. Considering this is one of its last public appearances, the guys would be mistaken not to bid their Directioners adieu in such a public forum.

2) "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" - Remember when 1D teamed up with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots and performed this classic with classroom instruments? Of course you do. Sure, the holiday is New Year's and Christmas will have passed, but let's not forget how awesome this performance was. Perhaps Fallon and The Roots will surprise us all an team up with the British boy band.

3) "Kiss Me at Midnight" - An 'NSYNC original, this song became an instant New Year's classic, but can a British boy band cover the hit successfully? Obviously! We're just the 'NSYNC originals would have no problem lending them the catchy tune.

4) "Kiss You" - Pretty much any song having to do with kissing/PDA will be appropriate, considering that's what everyone's trying to do when the clock strikes midnight.

5) "Midnight Memories" - Because midnight and the mention of parties mesh well with the evening's celebrations.

6) "Auld Lang Syne" - It's not New Year's without this traditional song

What do you think of our list? Sound off in the comments with songs you hope to see 1D perform on New Year's Eve!
