We can all admit it: We're fascinated by natural redheads.

Julianne Moore stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Tuesday where the host couldn't help but ask about her auburn tresses. "You're like a ginger icon," Stephen Colbert declared. "When you think redhead, you think Julianne Moore."

But when you have the opportunity to interview a "ginger icon," you have to ask a couple of important questions that have been plaguing brunettes and blonds for millennia, and that's exactly what host Colbert did.

"How do you feel about the myth or the rumors that gingers have no souls?" he asked.

"I have complicated feelings about it, about being a redhead in general," Moore admitted. "Because people have expectations that somehow your hair has something to do with your personality. You're either feisty or you're sexy."

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2 star couldn't decide whether she'd prefer to be feisty or sexy, but she did weigh in on another myth that has yet to be answered: Do gingers feel pain, or rather, can they take more pain?

"I'm very tough," Moore said. "I'm a very tough redhead."

While we can't say for sure if that means all gingers are tough cookies, we can say that Moore is more than willing to prove herself, as she asked Colbert to give her an arm burn! But he wasn't willing to hurt the star on air.

"I don't even begin to know what would happen to me if I did that to you," he said. "You're an Oscar winner. I think the U.N. would be called in on me."

When urged by the Nine Months actress to do it, Colbert insisted he couldn't. "I don't hit women," he quipped.

But the award winner wouldn't back down. To see what ended up happening, watch the video.
