Kudos to Chicago Med, which is probably the first medical show in history to get one of its hot doctors shirtless in its very first episode. And not only was Colin Donnell's Dr. Connor Rhodes sans scrubs, he was also stitching himself up after surviving a horrific train wreck and attempting to save the life of one of his fellow commuters. You know, just another Tuesday.

The first independent episode of the latest Chicago Fire spinoff introduced us to the nurses and doctors working in the Chicago trauma center, which was flooded with patients after an elevated train crash. A pregnant surrogate, a little girl separated from her father and a man in a coma allowed us to learn not only about life at Chicago Med, but about the staff working there too.

The good news: It was super engrossing, and it didn't even have to rely on cameos from Chicago Fire and PD people we know and love. Plus, it gave us SO MANY ER feelings in the process. Like, honestly, Dr. Greene (RIP) could've walked through the doors and started giving orders and it would've been totally natural. (Well, except for the fact that we're still mourning his death 13 years later, but that's beside the point.)

The terrible news: This is terrible news. How the heck are we going to find time to add another excellent new show to our TV-watching schedule? Better add another series pass to your DVR lineup, because this one's going to be just as addictive as its Chicago counterparts.
