With Lamar Odom in a coma when Khloe Kardashian found out their divorce would be expedited, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her lawyer mutually decided to put it on hold. Her decision to call off the divorce gave fans newfound hope that they could rekindle their romance, but Khloe later admitted it was a strategic move to help Lamar in his recovery.

Khloe further opened up about her decision Monday morning in an interview with KIIS FM and explained why she did what she did and how it's affecting her boyfriend, James Harden.

"I just thought it was really insensitive to [expedite the divorce]," she admitted. "I get it, I get why it's confusing, I understand all of that. James has been great. He's been very supportive with everything. There's of course times where I'm sure he was really uncomfortable about some of the things, but I'm a very honest person and I have nothing to hide and I was very open with how I feel like I had to handle everything with Lamar."

Holed up in the hospital with Lamar for three weeks, Khloe had no time for herself, which could've been a strain on her relationship with the Houston Rockets player. Fortunately, Harden has been just as supportive of Khloe as she has been of Lamar.

"I really, really appreciate how supportive James has been, and it wasn't just another layer of stress on me," she told On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

Khloe also explained what's going on with Lamar's health and his recovery and revealed that while his organs are mostly recovered, it's his "brain that is affected."

"I know he'll get there. It will just take time. What the doctors tell me is, ‘We don't have a crystal ball'—they love reiterating that to me," she said. "I'm very optimistic and I want to believe he can. There are no promises, but if he's willing to do the work—I know the speech therapy, or the occupational therapy, or just all the cognitive stuff I'm sure it's really hard for him and frustrating—but if he's willing to do it, I don't see why not.

"But it will take at least a year; at least."

Khloe talks even more about her "polygamy" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
