Liam Payne is (debatably) a bigger Harry Potter than all of us.

The One Direction crooner admitted Monday morning that he shelled out top dollar for the flying car from the set of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The confession took place on Nick Grimshaw's Radio 1 Breakfast Show.

"I bought the Harry Potter car and I put it in my garden," he said. "You know the blue car, the flying car? I bought one because I'm a bit of a geek."

His fandom didn't stop there. Liam also confessed to taking a quiz online that determined which house he'd be in had he lived in the magical world of Hogwarts. Fortunately, he matched with the series lead. "I did the test on the website," he told the host. "My friend got Hufflepuff and I got Gryffindor. He was so annoyed."

Earlier this year Liam celebrated his 22nd birthday with Harry Potter-themed soiree complete with a very magical cake. After last year's money-making 1D tour, Liam certainly had cash to spend, so why not indulge in one of his biggest passions?! He also scooped up a mansion in England, which reportedly has a tennis court, a movie theater and a pool.

Although 1D has wrapped its world tour ahead of a two-year long hiatus (sigh), Liam and the other boys are still making appearances and doing performances, including stopping by their old stomping grounds, the X Factor, where they sang "Perfect." They also appeared on the Radio One Live Lounge for the first time ever earlier in the week where Liam revealed that he and the rest of the group almost didn't release Made in the A.M., but decided they wanted to for the Directioners.

"It's so exciting we made this album for the fans," he said.

The boys have repeatedly said that they're not officially splitting up—just taking some time for themselves to focus on individual projects. "We'll probably team up and do a bit of writing together," said 23-year-old father-to-be Louis Tomlinson.

"I'm going to take over the world of music and Niall [Horan]'s becoming a golf pro," he joked.

He added more seriously that he would continue collaborating with his friends on songwriting but would also be working on his own record label. While we wait not-so-patiently through these next two years, at least we have Made in the A.M. and all of 1D's amazing songs that came before the new album.
