Criiiiinge!

British singer and former The X Factor contestant Olly Murs joined host Nick Grimshaw on The Breakfast Show on his BBC Radio 1 this week to help interview JThe Hunger Games stars Jennifer LawrenceLiam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, just after he had told him the actress is the person he would really like to ask him for a kiss.

The result? Murs has no game.

Lawrence, who is promoting the movie franchise's final installment, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay—Part 2, was a great sport, expertly answering mundane questions and taking his compliments well. And by compliments, we're talking overkill—Murs, 31, even tells her, as a footnote, she can "pretty much do anything."

But he pretty much had no chance at playing it cool, as the host had declared to the three actors that Murs is "the biggest Jennifer Lawrence fan in the world."

"You're hiding it well, sir," Hutcherson said, smiling.

"Yeah, you've virtually ignored me since I've come here," Lawrence said.

Soon, you really start to feel even sorrier for the dude—who is so nervous that he holds his cue card upside-down. And he gets really flustered after Lawrence starts describing her kissing preferences.

Did Murs get a kiss from Lawrence? Kind of, sort of...not really. But he did get a selfie with the actress.

"Haha seriously need to go back to flirting school after meeting Miss Lawrence," he wrote on Instagram

Murs and girlfriend Francesca Thomas recently broke up after three years together. Lawrence had recently told Vogue magazine she has trouble dating.

"I am lonely every Saturday night," she said. "Guys are so mean to me. I know where it's coming from—I know they're trying to establish dominance—but it hurts my feelings. I'm just a girl who wants you to be nice to me."
