Lamar Odom has been working to recover from his overdose, and he seems to be slowly improving, given Khloe Kardashian's return to normal life. And while Kim Kardashian agreed with that in an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star admitted he still has a long way to go.

"He's here and he's alive, but to say it's not a long road and to say he's fully better is not the truth either," she said. "He has a lot of work to do and a lot of communication therapy and having to learn to walk again and to talk again. You never know if he'll ever be the same again."

Khloe has made it clear that she and Lamar won't be getting back together, but that doesn't mean he isn't an important member of the Kardashian family. Khloe went so far as to call off their divorce to help Lamar in his recuperation, and Kim made it clear that they'll do anything they can to assist.

"Lamar is family and he'll always be family, we'll always do what we can to help take care of him, and protect him, and be there for him," she explained. "It's a really unfortunate, sad situation all the way around the board, and I just encourage people to keep on praying because the road is nowhere near over."

Although Khloe stayed by Lamar's side—and continues to visit—throughout his health crisis, she has also made sure to make time for boyfriend James Harden, who she told Maria Menounos has been "understanding and great" about the complicated situation.

"I understand why it's confusing to other people because it's confusing to me, too, but I understand why the media wanted to make it this great love story like that would be wonderful but there are so many more layers that people are forgetting," Khloe explained.

"I think it's honest communication just really being honest and hearing [Harden's] feelings as well—what he's comfortable with and what he's not, and I have to respect that," she explained.
