Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have been plagued with rumors of divorce and separation pretty much since they tied the knot, but the actress tells Marie Claire in its December 2015 issue that she and her husband are fine.

"I try not to react to the horrible misrepresentation of our lives, but it is strange, and hard," she admits.

Heard and Depp tied the knot in February 2015 at the actor's home on a private island in the Bahamas, a 45-acre tropical paradise that he purchased in 2004. They had originally planned to get married over that weekend, but a source told us they were "completely in love" and couldn't wait to be together, so they did it early!

Soon after, however, they seemingly disappeared from the spotlight, only to reappear at the Venice Film Festival in September—and it was worth the wait. The dynamic duo stunned on the red carpet, holding onto each other in the most loving way.

"They're adorable together," a source told E! News, adding that the two looked very much in love in the theater, where Depp was screening Black Mass, with a lot of PDA. When the couple found themselves in the height of split rumors, a source assured us that they were totally fine.

"They've always been together," an insider said. "They travel for work then come home. They live together and are very much in love, despite what's being said about breakup rumors."

When the couple got married, Heard officially became stepmom to Depp's two children, Lily-Rose Depp and Jack John Christopher Depp III, which is a role she says she is more than happy to play.

"[It is] an honor and the greatest, most surprising gift I have ever received in my life," she says of being a stepmom. "I feel new flavors that I didn't know existed. New colors that I didn't know existed have been added to my life. I'm so happy."

Before Depp, however, Heard was in a long-term relationship with photographer Tasya van Ree, but she would prefer people focus on her work instead of her personal life.

"I don't want to have to deny my sexuality in order to be me. But I don't want to have to be defined by it," she shared with The Times over the summer.

"I'm fundamentally opposed to trying to edit myself to be palatable or popular. I don't give a f--k. I fight, but I shouldn't have to."

Watch to see how much fun these two have together.
