Daddy's in town after Sherlock's relapse, but the good detective and Watson don't seem too pleased by the visit. E! News has obtained an exclusive Elementary sneak peek of the first meeting between Watson (Lucy Liu) and Morland Holmes (John Noble), Sherlock's mistrusted father. It's icy, to say the least.

"I gather my son told you a bit about me, his opinions, his colorful renderings of our past," Morland says to Watson.

"I know you two don't get along," she replies.

"If you think that Sherlock is the only one that considers me an enemy, you'd be wrong," Morland says.

"He doesn't consider you an enemy," Watson quickly adds.

"An antagonist then," he concedes.

"No, I think he just thinks you're a terrible father," she says. So, yeah, this conversation is going really well.

Watson and Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) are on the outs with the NYPD and Morland could use his influence to get them back in with the boys and girls in blue. What does Morland want in return? What's his motivation to help? These are the questions. Click play on the video above for more of the intense conversation.

Also in "Evidence of Things Not Seen," the Thursday, Nov. 12, episode of Elementary, Watson gets a gig with the FBI investigating a triple homicide at a top-secret lab.

Elementary airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on CBS.
