Vicki Gunvalson is finally breaking her silence regarding E! News' exclusive reveal that City of Hope medical center says they've never treated a patient named Brooks Ayers.

In response to fan who asked "why do u still talk to brooks, now that you know he lied to u and made you look like a fool?," the Real Housewives of Orange County star tweeted Wednesday, "I don't talk to him nor will I ever speak to him again. This man is sick." In response to other fans on Tuesday, she wrote, "I am not the one who was untruthful - I loved a man and believed him just the way they believe their spouses."

On Monday, Gunvalson responded to two fans who had criticized her for once defending Ayers, telling them, "My moral compass is completely in check at all times." The fans asked her to "do something positive for cancer," and shortly before Ayers was caught in a lie Tuesday, Gunvalson replied, "I absolutely do."

The 53-year-old had been a longstanding, outspoken defender of her ex throughout this past season of the hit Bravo show, however, during the recent three-part reunion, she admitted to telling a "couple of lies."

On Tuesday, a representative for City of Hope medical center confirmed to E! News that Ayers was never treated for cancer at their facility. Ayers' representative has declined to comment.

In a sit-down interview with E! NewsMelanie Bromley last week, however, Ayers came prepared to shut down any doubters about his cancer diagnosis, and even presented medical documents printed with the "City of Hope" logo to prove he was receiving treatments for the disease at their hospital.

"These are the three bills that reference the days I got my treatment," he explained to E!, while showing us a document that stated how one chemo treatment cost $33,000.

"I'm not going to say I'm in remission. That's not going to be the case until my numbers have normalized and that's the word that was used to me."

Gunvalson's ex added, "I have more tests coming up in two months. I go back every 90 days. I don't get a scan every 90 days but I get blood work done every 90 days."

Ayers had one final message to his doubters, saying, "Unfortunately, I wish it wasn't true. It would be a lot easier if I didn't have cancer just to be honest with you. The daily grind, the routines of reminding yourself that I'm sick and I need to do certain things and not do certain things."

(E! and Bravo are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
