The Fifth Harmony songstress and Mendes dropped a 15-second teaser on YouTube for a song called "I Know What You Did Last Summer." By the sound of the upbeat track, it doesn't seem to be an homage to the '90s horror film franchise. With Mendes strumming the guitar and Cabello on vocals, it has all the making of a phenomenal duet.
Unfortunately the duo didn't give us much more. The end of the clip calls for people to go to ikwydls.com, but all that reveals on the homepage is TV static and the words "coming soon." We'll just have to wait and see what this cute couple releases!
As for their relationship status, E! News confirmed in September that the "Stitches" singer and Cabello are officially dating. The two got to know each other while Mendes toured with Austin Mahone and the X Factor-formed group. The insider also said that the two teens really like each other and laugh nonstop when they're together.
Although they haven't publicly confirmed their relationship, Mendes and Cabello have no problem flaunting their cuteness on Instagram. The cute couple first fueled dating rumors at the end of the summer when the 16-year-old crooner tweeted that he's "going to try to learn Spanish again," to which Cabello replied, "don't worry, you'll learn fast because you have an INCREDIBLE Spanish teacher whose name rhymes with Vamila Carmello."
When E! News caught up with Cabello at the iHeart Radio music festival in September, she joked that Mendes was jealous of her former relationship with Mahone. "While we were on tour Austin and I were dating and Shawn was just kind of being a loner!" she joked before adding, "Yeah, he was so jealous and he couldn't come out on stage because he was just seething rage and crying blood."
No need to be jealous anymore, Shawn!
