It's almost like Shereé Whitfield never left The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

We haven't seen the erstwhile Housewife since season four of Bravo's southern-fried series, but she didn't miss a beat stepping back into her old stomping grounds, immediately stirring up one of the patently insane cat fights she was known for during her earlier seasons. It's just a shame she didn't show up until the very end of this super-sized season premiere.

That's not to say there wasn't anything to write home about before the Shereé of it all, however.

BRAVO

But all that was nothing compared to what Cynthia Bailey was dealing with. (And if you're wondering where the heck Kim Fields was, don't worry, we were too. She's not due for her first appearance until next week, apparently.) We picked up with the former model just as a damning video of shady husband Peter Thomas getting a little too close for comfort to a woman that definitely is not his wife hit the internet. While this union has been fraught with problems since the two said "I do" in season three, it looks like this year might be their most difficult yet. She even admits to her sister Mal that she doesn't find Peter attractive naked! Why are these two people together again?

While Cynthia was struggling with her rocky relationship, she was also preparing for the launch party of the Cynthia Bailey Eyewear Collection because you're not a proper Housewife unless you've got some product with your name attached to it. On the guest list? Her good friend Shereé, who Kenya had conveniently already lobbed some solid shade at while showing Cynthia her hew home. This poor party never stood a chance.

Kenya was in rare form from the jump, immediately getting into it with Peter, who lost his damn mind on his wife's friend. Housewife "friend" Marlo Hampton's horrified expression as Peter shouted expletives at Kenya said just about all that needs to be said about his boorish behavior. But that was merely an amuse-bouche for the episode's main course.

Once Shereé strolled in, her new neighbor wasted no time going straight for the jugular, telling her that their whole neighborhood is trashing Chateau Shereé, which is somehow still under construction all these years later, saying it's an eyesore that's bringing down the value of everyone's home. And what do you know, that didn't sit well with Ms. "Who Gon' Check Me, Boo?" "Anybody that has built a house before, then they can probably come to me," Shereé replied. "But if they have not, then they can probably keep renting."

"Everybody in Atlanta's talking about the house that never was," Kenya jabbed back. And with that, it was off. Shereé lunged in, the ladies all began to shout and try to intervene, and the episode abruptly ended with a "To Be Continued" taunt.

We can hardly wait to see how it all unfolds next week.

Our Favorite One-Liners:

- "I send him postcards whenever I travel." - Phaedra on her interesting idea of compassionate correspondence with Apollo

- "I don't delight in her own sorrow, but if you're watering your lawn, you won't know what my lawn looks like." - Phaedra with a real head-scratcher, talking Cynthia's marriage woes

- "The main thing that drew me in to Duke is that he's so in to me." - Porsha, in a peak-Porsha moment

- "She might want to borrow some coffee from me. Or money for a light bill." - Kenya on her hew neighbor Shereé

- "Boo boo, darling, oatmeal pie face. Shereé would not be the one to mess with." - Phaedra, never at a loss for a deliciously insane nickname (Oatmeal pie face?!)

- "Shereé is screaming at me and acting crazy as if I'd sliced the air mattress she's been sleeping on for the last four years." - Kenya

- "The b---h got me f---ed up." - Shereé

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.

(E! and Bravo are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
