Khloe Kardashian Says Rihanna Was Her Inspiration for Her Glamorous '20s Outfit at Kris Jenner’s Birthday Party

Many people on social media said the reality star appeared to be channeling the singer's look at the 2014 CDFA Award

For many, Khloe Kardashian's glitzy, glamorous outfit at mom Kris Jenner's Great Gatsby-themed birthday party on Friday night appeared a little familiar.

The 31-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star sported a $16,500 silver net beaded Yousef Al-Jasmi gown covered with more than 400,000 crystals, paired with a matching cap and a white faux fur shawl.

Many people on social media said Khloe appeared to be channeling Rihanna's look at the 2014 CDFA Awards. The 27-year-old R&B star donned a sheer, sparkling Adam Selman gown...and no bra, paired with a matching cap...and white fur shawl.

"She was my inspiration," Khloe said on Twitter on Saturday, in response to a fan. "No one can do it like she did. I was inspired by her dopeness. Love Rih and loved my look."

"Way to handle that will class," another person wrote to Khloe, to which the reality star responded, "She tried to be slick but I shut that down."

"@khloekardashian @nnnatz @rihanna both of you wore the look well! Fashion is about inspiration," a user added.

"I agree!" Khloe said.

She also defended another part of her outfit that may also raise some eyebrows.

"My shawl is faux fur before you hatin ass hoes even start...." she said on Instagram. "Let me remind you. Happy hoes ain't hatin' and hatin' hoes ain't happy."
