Now it's gone too deep.

Miranda Lambert performed a cover of "Spiderwebs," one of Gwen Stefani's ska band No Doubt's breakout 1995 singles not long before the country star's husband Blake Shelton filed for divorce.

The 31-year-old's impromptu performance took place at Joe's Bar in Chicago in June, a month before Shelton, 39, submitted papers to end their four-year marriage. He and Stefani, his co-star on The Voice who is in the midst of her own divorce proceedings, were photographed for the first time as a couple this week following weeks of dating rumors.

"Spiderwebs" is about a person being constantly harassed by a stalker on the phone (specifically those archaic, bulky landline devices, not the wonderful gizmo you may be using to read this). Lambert performed it as a duet with another Gwen, Gwen Sebastian, who competed on season two of The Voice on Shelton's team and has toured with him and Lambert.

Lambert had given a surprise show at the bar with her band and crew's own group Permnent Damage.

She even channeled Stefani's signature '90s style, sporting a white tank top, which contained the words "I Love Joe's Weed" (the bar is on Weed Street). She paired the look with blue cutoff jeans, a big black belt and fishnet stockings.

Shelton filed for divorce from Lambert on July 6, after four years of marriage. They announced their split two weeks later, when the divorce was finalized. They have no children together.

Stefani, 46, filed for divorce from 50-year-old Bush singer Gavin Rossdale, her husband of 13 years, on Aug. 3. The two share three sons—Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 1.
