Already taking their relationship to new levels!

Just a day after going public about their romance, Blake Shelton's rep confirms to E! News that he and Gwen Stefani have already written a song together.

Though it's unclear whether or not the song will appear on an upcoming album for one of the singers, an industry insider tells People magazine it's a mid-tempo country ballad in which Blake returns to his "real country" roots.

But it's not just the country singer pulling in all the compliments. The source also pays Gwen respect, telling the publication, "It's amazing how good she sounds on a pretty country song."

The insider says the song is, fittingly, about telling a lover to leave a relationship if that's what he or she really wants.

Though it may come as a surprise that the newly official couple is already taking their relationship into the work world, Gwen says she's been spending a good amount of her days lately writing in "real time," and thus, it makes sense she'd team up with her musically-inclined boyfriend.

Opening up in an interview with The Project about her major life changes over the last few months, the former No Doubt rock star says something about all the commotion clicked in her creative mind to get her writing again.

"It put me in a different place. Some channel opened up and my writing just started happening again." She continues, "Every single time I go in the studio… I'm addicted - I'm writing a song every single time."

Considering the amount of time she's also spending with Blake, it only makes they'd end up in the studio together, too. Not to mention, penning songs with his partners isn't anything new to Blake, who already has a couple songs—"You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma" and "Over You"—with his ex-wife Miranda Lambert.

Meanwhile, The Voice coaches went public with their relationship on Wednesday as Blake's rep confirmed to E! News they are an official couple. She even flew out to Nashville to support him as he performed at the Country Music Awards, and though she did not actually attend the show, we got pictures of the two walking hand-in-hand to an after-party following the ceremony.
