Don't be upset that The Daily Show is a re-run tonight—host Trevor Noah's been in the hospital!

According to a statement released by Comedy Central's press department, the 31-year-old comedian "underwent an emergency appendectomy early this morning." Fortunately, the "procedure went well and he is currently recuperating from the surgery."

As a result of Noah's appendectomy, The Daily Show "will air an encore tonight," Comedy Central Press noted. But have no fear, fans—this host is superman, apparently, when it comes to his recovery time! The folks at Comedy Central expect Noah and the show "will be back with an original episode tomorrow."

Gotta give the guy credit for coming in to work Thursday—he had a heck of an excuse to take a sick day!

The Twitter account for Comedy Central press wrote, "Feel better @TrevorNoah," but The Daily Show's official page had a bit more fun sending their well wishes.

Noah should come out on the other side of that experienced unscathed—he does have health insurance, after all. That said, he might use his experience in said American hospital as source material for the show. We'll have to watch Thursday night's new episode to find out.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah airs weeknights at 11/10 c.
