ABCOnce Upon a Time is pulling out all the stops for its upcoming milestone 100th episode, bringing back a who's who of favorite faces to join in the festivities.
E! News has confirmed that a trio of troublemakers will be returning for the momentous occasion, with Barbara Hershey reprising her role of Regina's (Lana Parilla) mother Cora (aka, the Queen of Hearts), Robbie Kay stepping back into Peter Pan's tights, and Giancarlo Esposito appearing as Sidney Glass/the Magic Mirror. Details surrounding each of the returns are being kept under wraps, naturally.
As as refresh on what each of the three were up to when last we saw them, Sidney had aligned himself with the Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell) during the series' Frozen arc, Peter Pan had forced son Rumple (Robert Carlyle) to kill him in order to save Storybrooke, and Cora—well, Cora was killed by Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin).
E! News can also confirm that minor, but memorable, season one baddie the Blind Witch (Emma Caulfield) will be on hand for the landmark episode somehow, even though she was burned alive by Hansel and Gretel in her own oven.
These familiar faces join a previously announced group of returning characters that includes Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Red (Meghan Ory). Before the season five premiere, showrunner Adam Horowitz spoke on the show's plans to check in these old friends. "There are other characters who may return, as well, and we want to do that, as well," he told reporters. "We want to honor the idea that their lives have been going on…and we want to give you a taste of where they've been and now see how they can reconnect with everybody else."
The 100th episode won't just be a parade of seasons past. Once Upon a Time has cast Ally McBeal actor Greg Germann in a pivotal recurring role that will first appear in the big episode. Details surrounding the character are practically non-existent, but he'll play a role referred to as "The Distinguished Gentleman."
