Eddie Redmayne, you look so dashing...and magical...and familiar.
It's been more than four years the final and eighth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, hit theaters and yes, we agree, that's far too long. Luckily, J.K. Rowling blessed us with a prequel story, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and its movie, the start of a new...wait for it...trilogy, is due next year. Its first photo was revealed in the form of EW magazine's Nov. 3 cover.
The image shows Redmayne, this year's leading actor Oscar winner for The Theory of Everything, as Newt Scamander and is dressed in a brown and tan suit, paired with a long, teal wizard's wool coat, while carrying a briefcase and standing at the foot of a staircase at the Magical Congress of the United States of America. As noted by several people, the actor's character resembles Doctor Who and Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock Holmes with his style.
Nice to know the stylist from Eleven's seasons of Doctor Who has been given a job on Fantastic Beasts tho.

Matt Smith took one look at the Newt Scamander costume & wand and told David Yates he literally just left Doctor Who.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set in New York in 1926, about 70 years before Harry Potter enrolls in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Scamander is a famous magizoologist who wrote a Hogwarts textbook about the creatures he encounters.
"The stakes are high because they were so good before," Redmayne told E! News in September about the film. "You don't want to screw it up."
