Al Roker is headed to your neck of the woods!
The Today show just announced that one of America's favorite weatherman is traveling out on the road to deliver the forecast in all 50 states. The catch is he has to accomplish this brave goal in seven short days.
"Someone needs to stop him before he hurts himself," Savannah Guthrie joked in a new sneak peek. "Al, nobody else but you could do this or would even want to."
Natalie Morales added, "I don't think he'll have time to shower."
Just last year, Roker set a Guinness World Record title by delivering the weather live for 34 hours straight. This time, however, he has his eyes set on a new record for the fastest time to report a weather forecast from all 50 US states and the District of Columbia.
Rokerthon 2 will kick off Friday morning live in Hawaii. He will then travel by planes, trains and automobiles before his final stop to Rockefeller Plaza in New York City on Nov. 13.
"Al always takes on these larger than life challenges," Matt Lauer shared. "I know Al is ready for the country. I'm not sure the country is ready for Al."
