InstagramLily Aldridge is receiving one of the biggest honors a Victoria's Secret Angel can get: she's the newest model to rock the Fantasy Bra!
The 29-year-old brunette will take on the glamorous responsibility following in the footsteps of some of the most famous names in the industry, including Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Adriana Lima.
Aldridge will definitely have some big shoes to fill after last year's reveal in which we were given an extra special surprise when both Lima and Ambrosio walked the runway together in two Fantasy Bras—the first time we've seen that in the history of the VS Fashion Show.
But we're sure she'll have no issue living up to the standards of the Fantasy Bra, considering she's one of the hottest models of the moment. Not to mention, the bra itself is a sight to see!
According to Vogue, the "Fireworks" Fantasy Bra took a whopping 685 hours to create and showcases more than 6,500 precious gems from the label's traditional jeweler, Mouaward, which total 1,364 carats. The matching panties are adorned with 126 diamonds and 400 other precious stones. The set rings in at a cool $2 million.
Aldridge took to Instagram to announce the big news, writing, "I can't believe it's finally been announced!!!! Thank you so much @VictoriasSecret @Ed_Razek & Monica Mitro for this amazing honor!!!! I love you all so much #VsFashionShow2015 #DreamComeTrue."
Gigi Hadid—who will walk the VS runway for the first time this year—took to Twitter to congratulate her good pal on the honor.
