As clips from the sit-down aired throughout the week ahead of Friday's episode, the 53-year-old has been keeping busy filming his latest movie, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, the sequel to the hit 2012 crime drama film.
The actor was photographed looking steely on the set in New Orleans, sporting a fake bloody cut on his cheek. He reprises his role as Jack Reacher in the movie, which is set for release next October.
There was a scare on the set on Friday; A fire broke out in a generator located on a cab that hauls the movie's wardrobe trailer. It was put out within minutes. No one was hurt and filming continued, E! News has learned.
Remini, 45, was raised within the Church of Scientology and left the organization in 2013. The actress, who used to be friendly with Cruise, told 20/20 she once saw him "forcibly" kiss Katie Homes, now his ex-wife, after they began dating, and was reprimanded after making a joke about it in front of them.
Remini attended the couple's $2 million 2006 wedding and said on the ABC News program Church of Scientology officials asked her to invite friend Jennifer Lopez, but kept them separate at the wedding. She also detailed some drama she said took place after the festivities between her and officials. The Church of Scientology has denied her claims.
