Watch: Savannah Guthrie and Matt Lauer Reveal Halloween Plans

These hosts of Today may have already gone nuts for Peanuts, but their plans for All Hallow's Eve have only just begun.

E! News caught up with Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie just moments after they made their grand Halloween costume reveal on-air Friday morning. While they sported oversized wigs, elaborate prosthetics, and cartoonish outfits in their transformations from journalists to classic Peanuts characters, they're keeping the rest of their weekend plans far more low-key.

"I've got a little 1-year-old so I'm going to dress her up I think as a ballerina," new mom Guthrie said of her daughter, Vale, with husband Michael Feldman. "We're just going to walk around the neighborhood and I'm going to eat all her candy."

That sounds like the perfect undercover mommy trick for scoring treats!

Lauer, meanwhile, is a veteran when it comes to the usual Halloween rituals.

"I've got three kids," said the 57-year-old father of sons Jack and Thijs and daughter Romy. "Two of them will be trick or treating. The older one is a little bit over it, so I'll take the 12-year-old and the 9-year-old out tomorrow night."

Co-host Al Roker was proud of the team's festive efforts this year to dress as the Peanuts gang, telling E! News it fit perfectly with the characters' upcoming feature film.

"I think it's one of the best we've had. I like it when we're all together as a team and there's a theme. You can't beat it. It timed out perfectly with the Peanuts movie, so why not?"

With recreations of the Flintstones, the Royal Family, and the Munsters already in the books, it looks like the members of the Today family can proudly add another famous group to their costume resumes. Bravo!

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
