Lena Dunham is clearly winning at life.
The 29-year-old Girls creator, who has eight Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe wins under her belt, took to Instagram last night to share a throwback bikini selfie that proves why she's our role model when it comes to self-confidence.
"#tbt to summer 2010 when I forced my mom to take a photo of me that I could "casually" text to the dude I liked. He didn't respond so now I'll share it with 2.1 million people. Live a little!" the actress captioned the photo on Instagram.
While we predict Dunham's old crush would respond to the pic if she sent the same selfie today, the Not That Kind of Girl author certainly doesn't need the approval, as she's been happily dating Fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff since 2012.
The Lenny Letter creator is famous for her sassy ways on social media. Earlier this week, she posted a paparazzi photo of herself after the U.K.'s DailyMail dubbed her outfit an "eyesore."
"What the Daily Mail calls an eyesore I call a damn dream, @marahoffman This onesie takes me from @tracyandersonmethod to brunch to fetal position and I couldn't feel more heroic. Was literally psyched about the paparazzi photo so I would have evidence of it," she wrote, adding the hashtag #Onesienation.
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty also recently posed topless for Harper's Bazaar and told the mag that she's "so excited to turn 30."
"I'm psyched about it because I think that being in your 20s—especially as a woman—there's an inherent tension," she said, later adding, "I've been really lucky. I got to do a lot of things before I was 30 that most people don't."
