Halloween might be on Saturday, but for the Today co-hosts, it was on Friday.

The whole gang, including Meredith Viera, took to the Plaza this morning to unveil their nutty costumes—Charles Schulz's Peanuts gang! Al Roker, who had unveiled a sneaky tease Thursday, dressed as "good grief" protagonist Charlie Brown. Matt Lauer, on the other hand, channeled his feminine side as he's done in years past and suited up as Lucy, the comic strip's snarky kid.

Savannah Guthrie put on a massive pink dress, blond wig and giant pink bow to play Charlie's little sister, Sally, who famously loved blanket-clutching Linus, played by an unrecognizable Carson Daly. Natalie Morales suited up in oversized glasses and an orange ensemble to transform into smarty pants Marcie.

Tamron Hall played the role of athletic Peppermint Patty, Marcie's best friend. Willie Geist helped round out the comic strip characters by dressing up as adorable piano man/boy Schroeder. But no group could ever play the Peanuts cast without Snoopy, Woodstock and Pig Pen!

Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford played the beloved animal duo of Snoopy and Woodstock, respectively, while Vieira had the honor of playing dirty and dusty Pig Pen.

The co-hosts prepared for weeks to transform themselves into the beloved characters, and Roker and Daly had to go even further than anyone else by taking molds of their heads in the makeup lab while the others sat for wig and outfit fittings.

Because most won't have the help of professional tailors and makeup artists to help them really transform for Halloween, the Today show co-hosts unveiled simple DIY tricks that anyone can do to turn into Peanuts.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
