"It's been quite a year," the 41-year-old Law & Order star mused in an interview with The New Potato, in which she opens up about her beauty routine, her diet and reveals the best and worst advice she's ever received.
Earlier this year, March went through a very public divorce with celebrity chef Bobby Flay. The 50-year-old restaurateur filed for divorce from the actress, with whom he does not have any children, after 10 years of marriage in April and their divorce was finalized just three months later.
While March did not specifically speak about her divorce in the interview, she said the best advice she's ever received happened "this year," seemingly alluding to the painful split.
"'Now is not the time to stop being the person you always have been. People show up for you because of who you are, not what you can do for them,'" March recalled of her pal's words of wisdom, adding, "And she was right. I am utterly blessed with good friends and family."
Following news of the former couple's split, the New York Post's Page Six reported that Flay cheated on his wife with his 28-year-old assistant—allegations which the Food Network star adamantly denied.
March and Flay were also at odds over their decade-old prenuptial agreement, but the two later revealed they reached an "amicable divorce settlement."
Now, three months after their divorce has been finalized, March says her current mantra is "Clear Eyes Full Hearts Can't Lose."
And she's ready to spend the holidays with her loved ones by her side.
"My holiday is going to consist only of hugging everyone I love 1000 times over, while holding a bottomless glass of champagne and stuffing my face with cheese biscuits," she revealed, adding, "Life is short."
