We're partial to the Sanderson Sisters, but then again, Hocus Pocus is one of the best Halloween movies ever. Of course, Winifred, Mary and Sarah aren't the only big-screen witches who've haunted our nightmares. We've picked the 9 top movie witches of all time, and because we had so many top-notch options from which to choose, we went ahead and counted the Sanderson Sisters as a singular unit.
Because, no list of greatest witches would be complete without Hermione Granger—would it? Or the Wicked Witch of the West? That shoe-crazed green gal might've melted, but she never seems to stay dead.
Some of the best movie witches are terrifying, but some are twee. Some are silly, some are scary. So which of those witches is better? It's a tough call, but somebody had to make it, so we did. Boom.
