Siri Gets Quite Saucy If You Ask Her Certain Music Questions

Apparently she can't tell you the answer because you haven't paid Apple for something

If you thought you could outrun buying Apple's latest features, apps, products, etc., then you're about to feel the walls closing in on you. Even your own iPhone is turning against you…until you pay up.

Siri users have recently discovered that if you ask certain music questions, she gives you kind of a passive aggressive answer. She's basically trying to shame you into paying for a certain Apple service.

For example, we asked: "Siri, what's the top song in the US today?"

And this is the answer we got: "Sorry, I can't look up the music charts for you. You don't seem to be subscribed to Apple Music."

Apple

Damn, that's cold. Ever heard of Google, Siri?! Are you being sassy or just lazy?

So essentially Siri is telling you: "I could do this thing, but only when you give Apple more money."

Tim Cook is apparently really going for the hard sell with Apple Music, even though the streaming service has received 6.5 million subscribers since launching in June. Another 8.5 million are taking part  the month-long free trial.

"We love music, and the new Apple Music service puts an incredible experience at every fan's fingertips," Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said in a statement back in June. "All the ways people love enjoying music come together in one app—a revolutionary streaming service, live worldwide radio and an exciting way for fans to connect with artists."

It's the most popular music service after Spotify, but looks like Apple wants to surpass them because Siri will make you feel guilty when you want a little fun fact from the music business.

What's next, Siri? Are you going to ask people to buy Apple TV or else you won't search for How to Get Away With Murder recaps? What else are we going to do while on the toilet?!
