It's Perrie Edwards, bitch!
In a short clip posted online this week, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, 22, recreates parts of Britney Spears' music video for her debut single "...Baby One More Time." The pop queen, now 33, plays a sexy schoolgirl in the video, one of the most memorable of all time.
"What do I do when there's downtime on set of the #LoveMeLikeYou video? Recreate the @BritneySpears 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' Video….OBVIOUSLY Perrie <3," Edwards, who was in kindergarten when the original video was released, said on her group's Instagram page.
Little Mix released their "Love Me Like You" video, which features a school dance theme, earlier this month. The group is promoting their new album Get Weird, which is set for release on Nov. 6.
Many have reenacted "...Baby One More Time" before.
On Glee, which featured two entire episodes devoted to Britney's music, Lea Michele played the schoolgirl role in a tribute video.
Britney's own niece Maddie Aldridge, the 7-year-old daughter of 24-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears, wore a "...Baby One More Time" tribute schoolgirl outfit for a "Celebrity Day" at her school three years ago.
Lauren Conrad, 29, wore one as a Halloween costume in 2011.
And Christina Aguilera, a master impressionist who starred with Britney on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club in the '90s, earlier this year channeled the "...Baby One More Time" look in a video for the NBC series The Voice.
