As Khloe Kardashian continues to support Lamar Odom amid his hospitalization for an overdose, there is another person close to her who she has been trying to help for a long time: Her brother.

Rob Kardashian, Kris Jenner's only son, has stayed out of the limelight for more than a year, even missing sister Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West, and has refrained from appearing in person on Keeping Up With the Kardashians as he battles depression and weight gain of an estimated 100 pounds.

"Rob is such a great guy," Khloe told People magazine. "He's charming, charismatic, everything. That's what's so infuriating. I'm like, 'Where is your will to live life? Let's be around people!'"

She made these particular comments in an interview given before Odom's hospitalization, which were printed in a cover story that was posted online Wednesday.

Khloe, 31, revealed in July in an interview with Complex magazine that Rob had moved back in with her. The two had been roommates before since leaving the Jenner family home.

Rob had returned to social media several months ago and even addressed his weight gain, hinting in an Instagram post that the initial cause of it was too many milkshakes. In her interview with People, Khloe says she had offered to get Rob a chef.

Started right here with these milkshakes hahaha???? ????... #throwbackthursday

When the siblings' father and Kris' first husband, Robert Kardashian, died at age 59 in 2003, Khloe was 19 and Rob was 16. She told People her brother "doesn't have a father figure in his life." She said Odom had played that role, when they were together.

"Once Lamar left—and it's not Lamar's fault at all—I think Rob didn't know where to go. He was like, 'I don't have guidance anymore,'" Khloe told the magazine.

Kris' ex Caitlyn Jenner, who revealed earlier this year she is transitioning to become a woman, was great when she was around, but she was going through her "own things that none of us understood at the time," Khloe told the magazine.

Ultimately, Rob "has to figure it out for himself," the reality star said.

"And he has so many people who want to help him," she added.
