Skeleton makeup never fails.

Every year celebs like Hayden Panettiere, Lady Gaga, Hilary Duff and Kim Kardashian go all out in the creepy-but-cool makeup department. To pull off a Kim K. inspired skeleton Halloween makeup look, you're going to need a good white face paint, a gel-like black eyeliner, an everyday bronzing powder and a little know-how courtesy of celeb makeup artist and Instagram guru Karen Gonzalez.

For this spooky transformation, stay away from skin-damaging, regular acrylic paint and instead invest in something like MAC's Acrylic Face Paint that has the consistency and coverage of foundation. To start, use a blending sponge to cover the entire area of your face and neck with the white color. Be sure to trace right along your hairline, not forgetting your ears and not getting too close around your eyes.

Once your base color is set, start in on the details with a thick, black eyeliner like Tarte's Tarteist Clay Paint Liner. Using the gel, alternate between using a precise, pointed brush for smaller details like the bridge of the nose and a larger, flat head for the lid and cheek area.

For the lips, you'll want to use Benefit's Hoola Matte Bronzer to help transform your lips into teeth. Over the white paint, use the thin brush to create vertical lines from edge-to-edge. The bronzer comes in handy here, adding depth by strategically powdering it between the black lines. For the last step, add thick black strokes over the white on the chest, making sure that any peek of skin is fully covered in paint.
