Before anyone saw even a lick of footage for Adam Sandler's Netflix movie Ridiculous 6, it was already causing ripples across the Internet. Now we can finally get a sneak peek at the film that made headlines for more than just its sprawling cast of celebrities and cameos.

The trailer for the Western satire that stars Sandler and his usual troupe of actors (Steve Buscemi, Rob Schneider, David Spade) as well as Taylor Latuner, Luke Wilson, Jorge Garcia, Terry Crews and Danny Trejo, features lots of shoot ‘em up action and Sandler in action as a character named "White Knife."

The official synopsis of the movie reads: "When his long-lost outlaw father returns, Tommy "White Knife" Stockburn goes on an adventure-filled journey across the Old West with his five brothers."

Vanilla Ice, Blake Shelton, Jon Lovitz and Dan Aykroyd are all set to make cameos in the film.

Back in April, Indian Country Today reported that actors and extras from the Navajo nation walked off the set of Ridiculous 6 because they claimed the film grossly misrepresented Apache culture. They also deemed the jokes racist and insulting toward elders and women.

In a statement regarding the controversy, Netflix insisted that the film is not meant to offend, but merely satirize that particular genre of film.

"The movie has ridiculous in the title for a reason: because it is ridiculous. It is a broad satire of Western movies and the stereotypes they popularized, featuring a diverse cast that is not only part of—but in on—the joke," the company spokesperson said.

Ridiculous 6, which was directed by Frank Coraci and produced by Happy Madison Productions, hits the streaming service on Dec. 11.
