Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagicWe'll never forget the houses on Halloween that always handed out the big candy bars because that was, like, the best thing ever! But Nicole Richie isn't sure she wants to be that cool mom this year.
The mother-of-two sat down with E! News and explained her plans for the spooky holiday and why she and hubby Joel Madden are in a bit of a debate right now.
"We're having a heated discussion about [candy] at home," she reveals. "Because I think that kids want to take little candies in their hands and look like they have a lot, and my husband wants to give the big oversized candies."
She does have a pretty good reason for being opposed to it: "I don't like that, and I don't think it's healthy, and he thinks I'm being nerdy."
However, she admits that she's still thinking about it (and if she decides it's a go, we know which house we'll be hitting up this year!).
Meanwhile, Richie also dished on her plans for Halloween night. Despite it being her first Halloween with sister-in-law Cameron Diaz by her side, she said the family will keep it low-key.
"Halloween's really about my kids, and they have friends of theirs and they want to trick-or-treat with their friends, so that's basically what we're going to be doing."
Richie got some partying in last week anyway, celebrating La Mer's 50 Years of an Icon event in Hollywood on Tuesday night. She got dressed up and shared a few snaps on Instagram with her buddies Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson.
"Moms Night Out," she captioned the gorgeous photo, giving us all major FOMO and giving Taylor Swift's squad some serious competition.
