Carrie Underwood is heading to a city near you very soon!
The 32-year-old singer just announced her 2016 tour for her fifth studio album, Storyteller. The Stories on the Road tour will kick off in January and will continue in 40 arenas across the United States and Canada through May.
"I can't wait to play new music from Storyteller for the fans," Underwood said in a statement. "I am so blessed to have this career and get to do to the things I do, but there is nothing like that moment when I get to step onto the stage to sing and all the fans are singing along with me."
And guess what? The new mama will have a road buddy! Her 8-month-old son, Isaiah—who she welcomed into the world with husband Mike Fisher in February—will join mama for the five-month tour.
While some people may think that sounds a little crazy, Underwood promises her beaming baby boy is worth it.
She sat down with Ellen DeGeneres on Tuesday and revealed, "[Being a mom] is great. I mean, he's the sweetest and smiliest baby, I think, ever. So that's a blessing when you're like waking up at 3'Oclock in the morning. And he's like smiling at you that makes it not so bad."
In fact, Underwood says her son rarely ever cries. "He kind of whines it's not ever like a full on cry. He rarely cries."
Though Isaiah does wake up throughout the night, he's getting better, and Underwood says the help of her hockey player hubby makes things easier, too.
"We're both really good at picking up the slack when the other one is super busy," she explains. "So when he has a game the next day—hockey game for those who don't know—I'll make sure and be like, ‘OK, he needs to sleep tonight, his game tomorrow.' So I'm the one getting up."
