Kristen Wiig might be best known for her comedic work in Bridesmaids and on Saturday Night Live, but she does have a dramatic side.

The Skeleton Twins and her new project, Nasty Baby, showcase Wiig's darker side, and now she's working on something a little bit heavier that Jimmy Kimmel said is already starting to receive Oscar buzz. Debuting the trailer for her "new" movie, Crying in a Sweater, on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday, Wiig showed that she could really get the tears flowing.

Wiigs cries her way through the entire trailer, in which she wears sweaters of all varieties. Everything from your ugly Christmas sweater to a knit your grandmother made you makes an appearance, all while Wiig bawls her eyes out. Her performance is said to be "the Wiigaissannce," at least according to Dr. Mehmet Oz.

Her powerhouse performance features very little dialogue other than an over-the-top outburst that you know will get her the highly coveted gold statue. When a man walks in to find her sobbing on the floor (in a sweater, obviously) he asks her if she's OK. Her response indicated that she wasn't, in fact, OK.

"Get the f--k out of here, Glen!" she screams.

Lying in her bathtub that was full of water, Wiig continues to cry...in a sweater. Wet or dry, she's down to cry for this role! She also cries her way through other accolades that pop up throughout the clip, including its selection into the Cannes Film Festival. Unfortunately, when the announcement covered her face she had to finagle her way around it.

But when the trailer came to an end, both Kimmel and Wiig couldn't help but let the tears flow down their cheeks. "It's really beautiful," Kimmel said of the Ghostbusters star's new film.

Even though she clearly has mastered the art of comedy and drama, Wiig still finds herself defending her repertoire, especially with the forthcoming classic remake and its all-female cast.

"The fact there was so much controversy because we were women was surprising to me," Wiig told the Los Angeles Times. "Some people said some really not nice things about the fact that there were women. It didn't make me mad, it just really bummed me out. We're really honoring those movies."
