At least Jimmy Fallon's sense of humor is still in tact.

Jimmy joked about being hospitalized Saturday after injuring his right hand during a fall at Harvard University. His recent wound follows an injury to his left hand in June that required surgery. "Welcome to The Tonight Show," Jimmy said Monday. "I am your host, Trippy Fallon."

Wearing a yellow construction hat and safety goggles, he showed off his Sesame Street Band-Aids during the opening monologue. "This time, I injured my other hand right after getting an award from Harvard," he said. "Even after getting into Harvard, I still embarrass my parents."

"Fans sent me get-well-soon cards, while my hand doctor sent me a picture of his new Ferrari."

Jimmy later asked the camera to show a close-up of his bandages. "These are the only Band-Aids that we have in the house. I don't have adult Band-Aids anymore," the father of two said. "We don't have them anymore. We have them for babies."

The late-night host then explained how he sustained another injury. "Saturday I was inducted into the Harvard Lampoon and given the Elmer Award. It was a big deal for me," Jimmy said. "We're at a parade in Cambridge. I was on a chariot and I had a horse take me through Harvard Square and I was waving at everybody. It was really fun...Later that night, they're going to do a laser light show at the thing with the Harvard band. They're out there and they're unbelievably great. And there are lasers out there and smoke, and it just got dark. It was probably around 8:30 or something; I don't know what time it was. I go, 'Maybe I'll present them with some type of award,' because it's nice for the band. They don't get paid for this. So, I go, 'Somebody give me a bottle of Jägermeister and I'll present that to the band like that's an award for them.' So, somebody gives me a bottle of Jägermeister. They get it from inside; I'm out on the street."

"Apparently some girl was going to kneel down to give me a flower or something. So, she knelt down, I didn't see her, and I was like…" Jimmy said, reenacting this fall for the studio audience. "This hand is already gone, so I threw the bottle and then I just landed on broken glass. Oh, yeah! Pools of blood everywhere. It turns out it wasn't that bad. But anyways, I took more pictures with my hand in my pocket. Then I went inside and I looked at it...The EMT said, 'You should probably go to the hospital, see if there's any glass in it.' So, I went to the hospital—I'm so used to going to the hospital now—that I'm like, 'This is kind of fun.' I went in and everything's all right and all great. So, a couple Band-Aids. I want to let everyone know I'm fine."

In spite of his injury, he said, "I had the best time." Nancy Juvonen, however, felt differently. "I got home yesterday from Boston and my wife was like, 'I'm so lucky I married you,'" Jimmy said.

After addressing his injury for the final time, Jimmy decided to share a home video of his 10-month-old daughter Frances Fallon. Just like her famous father, her comedic timing was spot-on.
