CBS has picked up its new drama series Limitless for a full season, the network announced on Friday, making it the fifth new series to receive a pick-up. Starring Jake McDorman and Jennifer Carpenter, the series is a continuation of the Bradley Cooper film of the same name, with the Oscar winner serving as an executive producer and occasionally reprising his role from the movie. The latest episode pulled in 7.9 million viewers and notched a 1.4 demo rating.
"We're excited how Limitless continues to evolve creatively each week and stand out with its unique style of storytelling," CBS Entertainment President Glenn Geller said in a statement. "It's off to a strong start in a highly competitive environment."
