Saturday Night Live star Sasheer Zamata is speaking out about two controversial topics in America: Sexism and white privilege.

The 29-year-old actress, an American Civil Liberties Union celebrity ambassador for women's rights, had made her debut on the NBC sketch comedy series in 2014, becoming the first woman of African-American descent to become a cast member since Maya Rudolph, who left the show in 2007.

In a YouTube video titled, "Sasheer Zamata Says Women's Rights Still a BFD! (Big F--king Deal)," filmed for the ACLU and posted this week, Zamata is seen walking down the street with white man, who plays a co-worker named Sean.

"I know everybody's talking about gender and equality, but haven't we come a long way in this country?" he asks.

"Yeah, we definitely have," she replies. "But there's always room for improvement."

Sean says it appears as though there are more female lead actresses and female politicians nowadays, and that "the same goes for minorities."

"Well, there still needs to be more diversity behind the scenes," Zamata tells him. "And in a lot of jobs, women still aren't respected as much as the men in their field."

"Sean" complains that he too "struggles," which doesn't appear to impress Zamata, who soon encounters a police officer interested in having a little chit-chat...with her back against a wall.

She later informs Sean that he has privilege because of his race, class and sex.

"What you can control is how you use that privilege," she says.
