Really we were just counting the days till it wouldn't seem too random to highlight some of Jeff Goldblum's most memorable moments on the big and small screens.
Happily, today the Hollywood-and-cult-fave actor turns 63 and what a year it's been, as always.
First of all, this is his first time celebrating his birthday as a father, having welcomed son Charlie Ocean with wife Emilie in July. And in addition to getting married again and becoming a dad since his last birthday, he's continued to build on the prolific resume that has won him legions of fans for widely differing reasons. Whatever your fancy, he's it: Dashing nerd, quirky jazz man, ragingly hot thesp, he of the emphatic gesticulations and enunciation, etc.
And the moment has arrived to enjoy some of his Goldblumiest moments to date. Enjoy:
No, it's OK you caught him with another woman, he's going to be The Fly soon (aka gratuitous shirtless scene)...
This is Jeff Goldblum apparently dressed as Indiana Jones on Sesame Street in 1990, you're welcome:
As Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park, he totally put the moves on paleobotanist Dr. Ellie Satler while explaining chaos theory.
And he easily had the best line in the entire movie:
Uh-oh, it would appear that there's trouble on the horizon in Independence Day...
Who didn't think it a natural fit when Jeff Goldblum joined the Wes Anderson universe?
NYPD Detective Zach Nichols certainly kept us company on Vincent D'Onofrio's off-nights:
He met a series of unfortunate events in The Grand Budapest Hotel...
As The Knot Store proprietor Alan, he dazzled with his knot-tying skills in Portlandia:
He utilized his Law & Order skills when questioning this pile of money for the cause on Last Week Tonight With John Oliver:
Brad Bellflower has us wanting to pack our bags every time this commercial is on—and it's on a lot:
It's a good thing we like Jeff Goldblum so much.
Happy birthday, favorite!
