Denise Truscello/WireImageFrench Montana and Khloe Kardashian might not be a couple anymore, but that isn't stopping the rapper from wishing his former flame well during her and Lamar Odom's tough time.
Attending Jay Z's TIDAL X: 1020 Amplified by HTC concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn Tuesday, the "Don't Panic" rapper talked to E! News about Khloe, Lamar and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family and gushed about his ex-girlfriend and how he wishes the former NBA star the best.
"Shout out to Khloe. I am really proud of her for being by his side," he told us. "It's a beautiful thing to see cause I know she has a good heart like that."
He added, "It's a beautiful thing. They'll get through it."
Although French and Khloe didn't ultimately work out, the former couple has nothing but nice things to say about each other since calling it quits. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star opened up to E! News in April about her relationships with both Lamar and French, saying she had something special with each of them.
"I love French. He's an awesome guy," she told us. "We are on-again, off-again...but I don't want to be too labeled to anyone right now."
But, she confessed, it was Lamar who still had a hold on her heart. "I will never ever not love Lamar," she admitted. "I was so obsessed with him in a healthy way. He was my husband, and I still wish he was, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that."
Khloe thanked her friends and followers Tuesday for their outpour of support during what she described as an "incredibly difficult" week, but it is current boyfriend James Harden who has been a behind-the-scenes rock during this ordeal. A source told E! News that Khloé, 31, and the Houston Rockets player have been in constant contact during Lamar's health crisis.
James, 26, has been extremely busy with the NBA pre-season, but a source tells People he's still being "as supportive as humanly possible [to Khloe] given the situation."
"Lamar essentially has zero consistent family other than the Kardashians, and James understands that," adds a source. "The last thing he would want to do would be to add more stress to her plate."
