Ladies and gentleman, we give you the incomparable Bill Murray. Make that the incomparable Bill-Murray-dressed-as-a-medieval-Black-Swan.

Last night the comedian made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live's special Brooklyn episode, and he came out in...well...that. He paired a renaissance-style outfit (complete with tights) with what can only be described as creepy ballerina makeup. And why, you ask? Well, why not?

Murray visited the show in the midst of his beloved Chicago Cubs' National League Championship Series against the Mets—and since his team of choice is currently losing two games to nothing, he can certainly be forgiven for a few sartorial missteps. Although, there's a sizable argument for calling this outfit a total win. There's no doubt that it's a conversation piece—host Kimmel immediately commented, saying "I don't know what you're doing, but you look great, you really do." And he's right!

Although truth be told, Bill Murray never really needs an excuse to appear on a talk show in a bizarre getup; it's one of his favorite things to do. And assessing his costumes has become one of our favorite pastimes, so naturally we decided to take the opportunity to pick out our favorite late-night outfits. To the Bills!

1. The Liberace

CBS

Murray went on Late Night With David Letterman so many times that he can basically be considered a member of the staff. It's hard to pick a favorite, but this ensemble came complete with a dog and a Rolls Royce. Talk about commitment.

2. The Country-Western

When in Austin, dress as the Texans do, right? This fringe-tastic fit came during a SXSW appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Murray wanted everyone to know that he really went all out for the occasion. "I'm usually in jeans and a T-shirt," he said. "This is just tonight because it's special."

3. The Jock

John P. Filo/CBS

How else does one celebrate the New York Giants than becoming one with Eli Manning? Bill even conducted the interview with a mouth guard in true footballer fashion. Don't ever tell him he's not dedicated to the craft.

4. The Jockey

CBS

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this appearance came on the heels of the Kentucky Derby. But what you probably didn't know is that Bill is actually something of an amateur jockey—he can ride a mechanical bull while singing "My Old Kentucky Home" at the same time. #Blessed.

5. The Cake-Man

YouTube

When plain old entrances become boring, one must go the extra mile. This time, that mile involved jumping out of a life-sized cake. Only the best for Dave's goodbye, right?

6. The Everyday Bill

When you're Bill Murray, even your most average moments are extraordinary. Here is the comedian in absolutely no costume at all—but we think we can all agree that he looks fabulous. The burgundy fedora for the win.
